    Thank you so much for this great HANDS-FREE or as I like to call it - MY THIRD HAND!! Just waiting for me to swipe that Bar-Code - it pops up automatically in the field on-screen and completes the task! A Time Management MUST HAVE! Save that Ten Keying - Especially if you have carpal-tunnel syndrome (I do) or arthritis. This is a wellness device for me!     I set this up on my Windows 7 system for use in a small hair salon. It came configured for exactly what I needed so that all I had to do was plug it in and start scanning. I played with some different options (using the bar-code settings in the booklet) but am very thankful for the "reset" bar-code to clean up my mess! It's always on and ready to read with the wave of a product in front of it...no trigger-pull is necessary. The stand is just as pictured and works great for me.

    I wouldn't buy this again.

    I have owned this scanner for a 2 years now. I thought I would come back and write a review. I only payed eleven something dollars which isn't a bad price. However, it never turns off when you use it. If it is plugged in the laser is running and a bit annoying. For the price of a new one you can get something that is much nicer will activate with movement and if you shop around find one that is 2D. If you can get this product for ten dollars of so, it will get you by, but in hindsight I would have bought something different.

    Works great only for a time

    We bought 4 of these in June of 2018 and they were worked great. We used them both cordless (with the thumb drive) and also with the cord direct attached to computer. 8 months later one of them started acting up and wouldn't work either way. Within a month, all 4 had given up. We plugged them in overnight in case they needed charge but to no avail. If you are looking for something reliable, I wouldn't go with these. If you only need for a one time deal, they'd be great as they're relatively cheap.
